favorites?

Ok here goes:
Cartoon:  Spongebob – in small doses
Movie: Room With a View (but also i love 16 Candles).
Book: Uhhhh…I read pretty silly books.  Anything by Nora Roberts… I know, not so intellectual.  There is one book I love to read over and over, The Shell Seekers. I wouldn’t say i have a FAVORITE book. I loved the Susan Cooper series “the dark is rising” as a kid…
Artist: April Gornik – she does these amazing huge landscapes that are so surreal and beautiful. Also i love Richard Diebenkorn.
music/song…I love Sade – saw her in concert outdoors years ago – there was heat lightning in the background…very memorable show.
First Concert: UB40 with my friend Heather.
Dessert – Rhubarb pie a la mode
Cereal – I actually eat eggs pretty much everyday for breakfast, not cereal.
Fruit – MANGO
Drink – water or Red wine
Soap – any that smells good
Sunglasses – just got a pair of Costa shades. loving them. I lose sunglasses regularly though
sport/team. Kansas Jayhawks are my team, ultimate frisbee is favorite sport to play (that’s how i met my husband!)
Animal – mermaids
city/place: Still looking – i love to travel. I do love Kansas. Open spaces speak to me.
Coffee
Tool i can’t live without: Swiss Army Knife

Favorites?
Movie:God, it’s been the same one since I was 16, which makes me wonder if I need to reevaluate. But no, I stand by my answer:Harold and Maude.
Book: Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner
Author: You’d think I’d say Wallace Stegner, wouldn’t you? But nope. Anne Lamott.
Artist: Sally Mann
Dessert: depends on the weather. molten chocolate cake with some kind of ice cream in the winter. peach and berry cobbler with some kind of ice cream in the summer. strawberry shortcake with cream biscuits and whipped cream in the spring. Lemons aren’t really specific to fall, but let’s say lemon meringue pie in the fall, because lemon meringue pie needs to be a part of this list.
Cereal: oatmeal with milk and honey.
Fruit: There’s not much I like more than a small, sweet, intense strawberry in season.
Drink: I like cocktails, a lot. I really like the cocktails at Leon’s. My favorite drink though is probably the “Miller Thyme” from Miller Union, which is a gin, lemon, and thyme drink:
Soap: Mrs. Meyer’s basil flavored hand soap.
Sunglasses: Tom’s.
Sport/team: Lord. I wish I had one to give you. Um, when I lived in Roanoke, VA I would go see the Minor League team of the neighboring town, The Salem Avalanche. Tickets were something like $5 a piece and I got to sit up with the players’ wives. That was really fun. In general, I like any sporting activity where I can be in the sun, drink a beer, and eat a hotdog.
Animal: brown dogs. Also tabby cats.
City or place: New York City. You can never fully know it. There’s always more to explore.
Coffee or tea? Coffee in the morning, Sleepytime tea at night.

Tool you can’t live without: silicone spatula that is heat resistant up to 450 degrees. Perfect for cooking custards, or bechamel, or risotto.

Paloma

Coarse salt, optional

Use one lime wedge to run around the edge of the glass. Dip into a shallow

plate with salt if you want a salted rim.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add the tequila and the pink grapefruit

juice. Shake until chilled.

Strain into the salt rimmed glass. Squeeze the lime from a wedge into the

drink and stir. Top with soda, and serve with an additional lime wedge for

garnish.
